Thomas Tuchel gets harsh Chelsea treatment as true feelings are quickly shown by Todd Boehly

Chelsea's new owners can't be criticised for taking their time. Whatever the general feeling is regarding Thomas Tuchel's sacking, be it harsh, too soon, questionable timing considering the recent transfer backing or not good enough to replace a Champions League winner with someone without the same relevant top flight success, the owners moved swiftly.

Graham Potter was announced before the body was cold for most Chelsea fans. It was a move that happened so suddenly post-Dinamo Zagreb that getting to grips with the decision has been tough. Considering that the new owners have had reservations for a while, their decisiveness in striking Tuchel down this early on in the season is at least refreshing in that sense.

Whilst it's scary that, without prior footballing knowledge at the elite end, Todd Boehly is prepared to make these types of calls with such haste, their sudden call to action and willingness to make tough calls is a point to be positive about, in some senses.

These are not men that will sit on their newest asset and watch as things crumble, the early signs are for hands on ownership that the club haven't seen before. Be it for the good or the bad, it's a new approach from decisive new owners that deserve the respect at least for having the conviction to make their calls.

Tuchel might not see it like that, though the sacking arguably does him little damage in the long-run; his reputation will be unscathed and perhaps even enhanced due to the turmoil that he worked through this year. However, after creating a strong bond with supporters, the owners haven't hung around to wipe Tuchel from the club.

Just like signs of old Stamford Bridge were bought back to enhance the ambiance at the ground, images of Tuchel around the stadium have already been removed in a startlingly efficient display. Given that Potter would have been managing his first game on Saturday, September 10, just three days after Tuchel was sacked, maybe it shouldn't be a surprise, but as the Blues were away to Fulham, there wasn't as much need in such a swift move.

On the posters outside and around the ground Tuchel was at the centre of two images, both of which have been replaced. On the one outside the main entrance to the ground, modelling the new white away kit, Tuchel had been sporting some of the new training merchandise; pictures of Mason Mount and Jorginho are now there instead.

In the megastore there was another image of just Tuchel, and this is now of Jorginho. It's the efficient, harsh and quick changes that has so far summed up Boehly's ownership.
