While everyone else is focused on color and vibrant silhouettes for their summer collections, Thom Browne is taking a classic and sophisticated approach. On Tuesday, the American designer released a High Summer Capsule featuring men's and women's styles that boast his unmatched tailoring fused with the poignant nostalgia of 20s and 30s culture.
Centered around the ever-powerful white hue, midi pleated dresses and cropped yet modest cardigans speak to the feminine side. Meanwhile, Browne includes rugby shorts, ribbed jackets, polo shirts, straight-leg trousers and sports coats for the men. And let's not forget the pièce de résistance of the brand's offerings — masculine pleated skirts.
Accessories weren't left out of the conversation, through, as vintage pieces like cotton twill baseball caps, cat-eye sunglasses, pleated loafers and canvas sneakers are all on deck. "Subtle sophistication and iconic detailing come together to craft the modern summer wardrobe, with an unwavering commitment to both style and functionality," the brand said in a statement.
The collection was introduced during Browne's Fall 2024 Haute Couture show at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and will be available at select retailers and wholesale partners as well as online. The 2024 High Summer Capsule can also be purchased at the brand's stores in New York City, Miami along with South Coast Plaza and internationally at Japan's Dover Street Market Ginza and London's iconic Harrods store.
