This weekend’s GAA Championship fixtures

With the holders defeated, a different team will get to lift the Anglo Celt Cup at the end of the month and the first of the Ulster Senior Football Championship semi-finals takes place this Sunday.

Tyrone were beaten by Derry last Sunday in Omagh in a stunning upset with the Oak Leaf County winning 1-18 to 0-10.

The two teams who preceded the Red Hands as provincial champions meet in Clones as 2020 winners Cavan take on 2019 champions Donegal.

In Connacht, Galway will be strongly fancied to reach the provincial final at the expense of Leitrim when the sides meet at Pearse Stadium on Sunday.

The two U20 All-Ireland semi-finals are also this weekend with Kildare and Sligo clashing on Saturday at Kingspan Breffni Park while Tyrone and Kerry meet at Portlaoise on Sunday. Both games will be televised live on TG4.

In Ulster, there are also four games in the Minor Football Championship on Saturday while several northern counties facing crucial battles in the Christy Ring, Nickey Rackard and Lory Meagher Cups.
