What to do with the base of your Christmas tree is a consistent yearly struggle. Whilst there are several ways to cover your tree's often not-so-pretty base, it can be a bit of a faff getting it into a basket or pot. Luckily, designer Drew Michael Scott (A.K.A Lone Fox) has created a simple 'flip' hack that effectively hides the trunk of a tree and creates the illusion it's sitting in a basket.
Drew sums up his nifty tip, ‘You simply flip your tree collar. One year I was like, "Why have I never thought to flip it before?"' It takes literal seconds to do and the sides of the collar appear to hold the tree like a basket, creating a beautiful vision of a real, planted Christmas tree without the fuss of using an actual basket or pot.
