The New England Patriots have been riding the struggle-bus for the most part in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. But wideout Jakobi Meyers has been the one true consistent player in the offensive lineup.
Heading into the third quarter, he has a team-high 36 yards off two receptions, including this beauty of a catch over a Dolphins defender, where he high-pointed the ball to convert on a third-and-eight.
Meyers, who is mostly known for his role in the slot, is showing that he’s no one-trick pony with his ability to also win in jump-ball situations. Here’s to hoping he has more plays like this up his sleeve in the future because this Patriots team desperately needs them.

The Patriots entered the locker room for a halftime break down 17-0 on the road against their division rivals. It’s been an ugly run so far for coach Bill Belichick’s team at the Hard Rock Stadium, which has served as a house of horrors for them in the past.
For now at least, the horror show has continued.
