This record-breaking Mercedes EV just drove 3,400 miles in 24 hours

Mercedes-AMG concept.
QUICK SUMMARY

Mercedes just broke 25 endurance driving records with its electric AMG GT XX concept car. With 900 kW charging and over 1,300 horsepower, the car went further in one day than the winner of this year's Le Mans, before completing 24,900 miles – the circumference of the Earth – in under eight days.

Although not a product car, the concept demonstrates what future electric cars from Mercedes will be capable of.

An electric Mercedes concept car called the AMG GT XX has just driven 3,405 miles in 24 hours, averaging 186 mph between battery charges.
