This posh Cornish enclave boasts a gorgeous new hotel with rooms from £155 a night

Recently taken over by chef Paul Ainsworth, the newly revamped St Enodoc, a family-owned and run 21-room boutique hotel, overlooks the Camel Estuary in Rock and offers exceptional dining

Location

Set in the heart of Rock on the north coast of Cornwall, the hotel enjoys enviable views across the sparkling Camel Estuary, with Padstow in the distance. Rock is small, with no distinct hub, but it boasts a rowing club, a couple of bougie coffee shops, and vibe-y restaurants. From Rock beach you can catch a ferry across to Padstow (journey time: 15 minutes). Nearby, the famously crooked, sand-surrounded St Enodoc Church is where poet John Betjeman is buried.
