Ohio State football is among the most notable names in college athletics.
From X account followings that gain millions of eyes to just general media conversation, the Buckeyes find their way onto the feeds of thousands are a daily basis.
However, so far this season, with a relatively soft schedule to open the year, they haven’t had many highly-watched games, at least to the level Buckeye faithful are used to.
That is expected to change as they travel to Eugene Saturday with an evening battle against the No. 2 Oregon Ducks.
That should shatter viewership and be a top-five game of the season; however, the Buckeyes do have one top-20 game already, their beatdown of the Iowa Hawkeyes this past Saturday. Ohio State won 35-7.
That game, per On3’s compiled data, ranks No. 19 this season with 4.46 million viewers.

That said, Georgia at Alabama came in at No. 1 with Texas at Michigan coming in at No. 2. Considering the Buckeyes versus the Ducks will be the lone matchup so far this season between two top-three programs, there’s no reason to think it won’t exceed both of those in terms of viewership.
With Penn State and Michigan on the horizon as well, expect Ohio State to be among the most-watched teams by the end of the season.
