The Morning viewers were left baffled during Friday’s show as the ITV daytime programme seemed to switch a filter onto the broadcast for a Peaky Blinders segment, leaving many adjusting their television sets.
When the programme returned from an advertising break, co-hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary had turned dull with a faded filter.
Dermot and Alison pivoted to a Peaky Blinders fashion segment on the show and while they were busy looking at the clothes, fans were left baffled as neither of the presenters referenced the colour change.
The previously vibrant studio turned dark, leaving many ITV viewers taking to Twitter to complain that the colour had dropped.
One user wrote: “Either my TV's f****d or This Morning have changed the colour of the studio.”
Another said: “What's going on with the colour pitch of the show today? Everyone looks dull and grey.”
A third wrote: “I was adjusting the colour settings on my TV when I just realised that the washed up picture was ON PURPOSE. Thanks a lot.”
One fan had a theory that the filter was in lieu with the Peaky Blinders segment, writing: “Don't know if they've purposely dialled the colour down for this Peaky Blinders segment but it looks sh**e.”
Alison's stunning pink blazer definitely caused people to question the colour, with the vibrant look taking quite a turn.
One person wrote: “Anyone else get the feeling they've just turned down the saturation on This Morning? Alison's suit was day-glo neon earlier.”
The team soon went to an ad break and the colour of the screen returned to normal and as the duo appeared back on screen.
This comes after Alison welcomed another change to the studio set-up yesterday on This Morning, as she struggled to read the autocue.
After stumbling on her words, she confessed to viewers and co-host Phillip Schofield that she needed her glasses as she "didn't know what was wrong with her".
Alison soon ditched the lenses when Phil asked the camera crew to bring the equipment closer, so that the autocue was nearer to Alison.
She claimed this was much better and proceeded to read from it, only to stumble on her words yet again, sending her into hysterics.
This Morning continues weekdays at 10am on ITV.
