This Morning viewers disappointed over one rule in popular show segment

This Morning fans have been left frustrated after a rule being put in place for a popular segment. Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary were hosting the popular daytime show on Thursday, June 22, where there was a game of Spin To Win.

The game sees viewers that have entered tasked with saying just one phrase when This Morning called them, which allows them to win huge cash prizes by either spinning the giant wheel dropped into the studio or spinning the tombola balls. However, fans were left unhappy when the game didn't quite go to plan.

Introducing the game, Holly stated: "There are loads of cash prizes up for grabs and you get to choose whether you would like to spin the wheel or my balls." reports Manchester Evening News. Dermot added: "Quick reminder of the rules for you and me.

"If your phone rings, you need to remember to only say today's passphrase - nothing else." Holly went on to explain: "If you get it right, you get the chance to play. Shall we do this? Let's do this."

The pair started the game and attempted to call a viewer, whilst Holly stated: "Come on, is that your phone, don't be shy, pick it up!" However, the first viewer Irene failed to correctly say the passphrase leaving the presenters disappointed as they apologised.

"I know, I didn't quite understand. There was like a delay, if they were watching the TV, why didn't they say the password?" asked Holly. Holly and Dermot appeared optimistic as the phone continued to ring with the hopes of one viewer getting their hands on some cash, but there were more failed attempts.

The last caller also didn't make it, as Gillian said "Hello" when she answered the phone. Wrapping up the segment, Holly said: "No luck getting through today, so what we're going to do is spin it to you and this is going to be added to tomorrow's total."

A sum of £1000 was added, as Holly explained: "That's good, that'll make the jackpot £4,000," before she went on to say that the game won't actually be back for another two weeks' time." Dermot added: "There's quite a lot of admin that we should really be talking about off camera."

This Morning viewers, meanwhile, were having their say on social media. One tweeted: "How hard is it to follow 1 rule!! #thismorning."

Another said: "If you enter #SpinToWin you should just put the phrase as your answer phone message #ThisMorning #ITVThisMorning." A third added: "Saying hello and then no one answering why enter ffs lol #ITVThisMorning."
