Josie Gibson has shared the real reason why she has decided not to date anymore.
The This Morning star sparked a frenzy when her fans thought she had gone Instagram official with a new boyfriend, but it was later revealed to be a camera man she works closely with. During an appearance on ITV's Loose Women today, Josie detailed all about her love life and insisted it wasn't her top priority at this time of life.
Josie discussed her love life with panellists Kaye Adams, Katie Piper, Judi Love and Kelly Holmes today, where she admitted her main focus was her four-year-old son Reggie rather than on finding a potential new love interest.
Speaking on the lunchtime show today, she told the show's panelists: "Judi, where would I fit them in because I'm either at work or I'm looking after my little boy?
"The thing is, I'm only doing it the one time. So if I date somebody, that's time I'm taking away from my little boy and I want to spend as much time as humanely possible with him."
Josie broke up with her last partner Terry four months after their son Reggie was born.
Terry moved back in with Josie during the pandemic but the pair parted ways once again with Josie saying at the time "I'll never go back."
The ITV star and mum-of-one has since admitted she simply "can't be bothered" to find love again.
"Aside from spending the morning with Dermot on the 14th, I have no plans. I can’t even pull a party cracker. There’s definitely not any valentine for me this year," Josie shared of her plans for Valentine's Day.
"I’m not sure Reg would be impressed if I got a boyfriend at the moment. He already shares me with This Morning, and I don’t want him to share me with anyone else. I just haven’t met anybody where I think ‘yeah, you could really fit into my life’ and it’s also the time and effort too - you’ve got to meet, trust them, date, work each other out, the messaging, I just can’t be bothered."
Josie also feels she couldn't give them what they wanted and deserved.
Speaking about motherhood, dating and dieting with OK! magazine, she said: "It would be nice to be taken out for dinner by someone. But I couldn’t give them anything else. I just want someone to give me maybe a little bit of attention - and dinner.
"But my son is too young. I’m really quite funny about that. I don’t like people in my son’s circle. It’s hard because if you meet someone, you want to bring them into your life. But I can’t show them my life because I don’t want to put Reg at risk like that."
