This Morning fans have taken to Twitter to slam ITV after Strictly Come Dancing star Motsi Mabuse was mistaken for her sister Oti in a preview clip during Wednesday morning's instalment.
Commotion kicked off online when This Morning accidentally used a photo of former Strictly professional Oti when previewing to an interview with Motsi, who is on the BBC One judging panel.
Following the awkward mishap, unimpressed This Morning fans flocked to Twitter to question the mistake after eagle-eyed viewers noticed something was amiss.
One This Morning viewer called the blunder 'cringeworthy' as they tweeted: "Is it me or did This Morning just run an ad on ITV with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby saying Motsi Mabuse would be on tomorrow but showing a photo of Oti? Cringeworthy if so."
Another urged the This Morning team to 'give their heads a wobble' as they typed: "@thismorning, just seen an advert for tomorrow's show saying @MOTSI_MABUSE is a guest, whilst showing a picture of Oti instead! Give your heads a wobble will you."
"This Morning They have just done an advert talking about Motsi Mobuse while showing a picture of Oti Mobuse," a third complained.
While a fourth fumed: "Such an unnecessary mistake here."
Following the onslaught of tweets after the awkward TV blunder, Motsi appeared to join in on the criticism as she liked a number of tweets which slammed the mistake.
The Mirror has reached out to a spokesperson for ITV for comment.
The drama comes as Motsi is gearing up for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing which is set to launch this weekend.
Motsi will be back in the hot-seat on September 17 alongside head judge Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, and Anton Du Beke.
The much-loved judge recently admitted her sadness about her sister Oti not returning to the 2022 series as a professional dancer.
However, Motsi has no plans to quit the show anytime soon.
"I'll be sad not to see her on Strictly this year. I'll always worry about my sister, but I have to respect her decision and let her go. She's proven that she can more than protect herself and push herself to new heights," she told Prima magazine.
