This Morning celebrated 20 years of Phillip Schofield as host on Tuesday morning, with an epic throwback to his first ever episode.
In the clip, Phil was introduced to the show by then co-host Fern Britton - with him admitting he was "nervous" looking back.
Holly Willoughby shared her surprise to see him as the "new boy" given he's been with the show for so long, as she reflected on her own debut in 2009.
Phillip complimented former host Fern for how she welcomed him to the show, as he talked of his first episodes and looked back 20 years on.
Holly began by telling viewers: “We couldn’t start today’s show without mentioning something very special. Actually, it really is a huge achievement.”
Phillip confessed: “I didn’t realise!” before he was surprised with a clip of his first show back in 2002.
Holly explained: “Yesterday, we were doing our meeting, it’s always at the end of the show and it’s like, ‘What’s coming on tomorrow’s show’ and the producers went, ‘Did you know, it’s 20 years exactly since Phil officially started presenting on This Morning?' 20 years!"
Phillip told her and viewers: “It’s gone like that!"
After watching the clip of his first show, Phillip said: “Oh my god, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that! That must have been the first series of I’m a Celeb … that’s mad.”
Holly went on: "Do you know what’s weird about that? Seeing you as the new boy. That’s so weird because it just feels like you’ve been here forever."
Phillip replied, “I was nervous as well. Fern was so lovely looking after me!” before Holly told him: “That’s what you were like with me on my first day!”
Phil then joked: “Wow, thank you, I haven’t heard anything about the auditions… no one’s ever told me I’ve got the job! I never forget how lucky I am, so thank you very much.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
