Rylan Clark couldn't resist a cheeky dig at Ruth Langsford on This Morning today as they opened the show.
The pair are standing in for regular hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the ITV morning show, and as they kicked off the programme, Rylan couldn't help but reference yesterday's show when a guest compared her to Percy Pig. Today, Ruth got rid of her pink outfit and instead opted for a bright green suit ensemble.
As they opened the show, Rylan and Ruth stood in front of the camera as they addressed the viewing audience. He couldn't help but refer to Ruth as a Muppet character, with the pair joking about her outfit choice.
Speaking at the start of the show, Rylan looked down the camera as he said: "Hello, good morning, and welcome to your Tuesday This Morning with Rylan and Kermit. Percy yesterday and Kermit today."
"Percy yesterday and Kermit today apparently - or the Jolly Green Giant," Ruth chimed back, laughing at Rylan's comment.
He took the time to show off her incredible outfit including matching shoes.
Rylan said: "You're really colourful at the moment. I really like it! I was going to wear those shoes!"
During yesterday's show, Ruth appeared for hosting duties wearing a bright pink suit, as she said: "I've gone a bit Barbie today." However, This Morning guest Alice Beer had other ideas and compared Ruth to a very well-known sweet treat, a Percy Pig.
"Alice Beer just said I look like a Percy Pig!" Ruth remarked as the show returned from the break.
As Rylan and Alice burst out laughing, Ruth added: "Well I don't need to come here to be insulted."
"One of my very favourite things in the whole world may I say!" Alice said quickly trying to diffuse the situation, as Rylan quipped: "What a claw back!" and Ruth told her that her comment was "well saved".
Ruth and Rylan are hosting the show today, standing in for Phil and Holly who are on their summer break. Other hosts have recently included the likes of Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Andi Peters and Rochelle Humes.
