Sharing a picture of his lateral flow test on his Instagram story, he said: "Well b******s."
The TV star added he was currently just suffering from a slightly sore throat.
He will now be ruled out of hosting This Morning for at least five days and he will need two negative lateral flows tests to be able to return to Dancing On Ice on Sunday.
ITV told the ECHO Alison Hammond will step in for Phillip.
Holly has also been absent from This Morning recently.
Phillip has been joined by presenter Rochelle Humes on the ITV daytime show, who is currently filling in for the 40-year-old.
Holly was given two weeks off the show - so she can present Wim Hof’s Superstar Survival alongside comedian Lee Mack.
Superstar Survival will see a whole host of famous faces take on Europe's harshest conditions in a bid to tackle their demons.
Holly has been flying back to the UK at the weekends to film Dancing On Ice.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and the ITV Hub
