This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield landed in hot water with Eurovision Song Contest fans after making a very brutal remark to the UK's entrant Sam Ryder.
There was upset amongst UK based Eurovision fans last year after James Newman finished rock bottom of the leaderboard in Rotterdam, scoring zero with both the juries and voting public.
While James appeared to take it on the chin, BBC viewers weren't too happy but, that disappointment turned to optimism last week with the reveal that Sam will represent us in Turin this year, with his anthemic song Spaceman.

Spaceman had already received airplay on Radio 1 before it was officially confirmed as the UK's song for Eurovision 2022 and, as well as fans on home soil predicting a better result this year for Sam, who has millions of followers on TikTok, overseas listeners have also been impressed.
But that didn't stop Phillip from putting a downer on things when Sam joined him and co-host Josie Gibson on Wednesday's This Morning.
Before Sam began his interview he enthusiastically waved Union Jack flags in the studio and, as Josie did the same next to him, Phillip muttered: "I think it might take more than waving a flag."
Phillip also rubbed Eurovision fans up the wrong way with comments he made to Sam during the interview itself, when he talked about the so-calld 'political voting' at the contest, moaning: "They don't like us!"
When Josie asked Sam about his huge TikTok following and how they could 'help him out', Phillip interrupted: "Well they can't if they're in this country!"
As Sam said he'd had support from other counties, Phillip ordered: "That's where you've got to concentrate," before giving Sam a chance to explain he was planning to tour Europe before the contest in May.
Hitting out at Phillip' tone during the interview, one viewer tweeted: "Phillip Schofield's questions were deliberately provocative and his interview was lazy. Sam dealt with his negativity like a trooper and showed that he's better than that. Such a shame about ITV's narrative."
Equally annoyed, another wrote: "Phillip schofield's comments are the reason why we continue to have negative opinions about the uk entry. Sam Ryder was being really positive but was getting shut down with comments reminding him that the UK don’t ever do well."
And, also taking aim at Phillip and supporting Sam, a third wrote: "It was awful. Like, this typical sh*t from our media every year is just so irritating now. For once, it’s our best chance of doing well and we still spout the same c**p to the artists every year."
