This Morning's Josie Gibson on 'cloud nine' after walking with pigs in Bannau Brycheiniog

Josie Gibson said she was on "cloud nine" after a This Morning segment in Bannau Brycheiniog. The presenter headed to the Welsh countryside to go walking with Kunekune pigs.

During the relaxing scenes Josie, 38, raved about her beautiful surroundings and love for the country. After being introduced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, Josie said: "I am on cloud nine right now, because I am as happy as a pig in the beautiful countryside of South Wales."

"I have been walking these gorgeous Kunekune pigs and I've actually fallen in love," she added, before introducing two of the domestic pigs called Hazel and Holly.

Speaking to the pigs' owner following a 30-minute walk, Josie said: "It's very, very therapeutic," before taking the pigs for a bath in the river to cool them down. "I didn't think in a million years pigs would like to go walking, I always thought of them as quite lazy animals."

Explaining they are really active and enjoy the company of human beings, owner Helena explained: "That's why I have Kunekune pigs because they so enjoy being with people."

The pair were joined by Julia from Good Day Out, a site that offers unique engaging experience days with animals in Bannau Brycheiniog. "What an experience, what a lovely thing to do, I feel on cloud nine after that," Josie told Julia, before asking: "What else can people come down to South Wales and do?"

Julia responded: "There are so many things you can do, it's Wales' Year of Trails, very exciting, and we are obviously a part of it with our pig trails. We also do mini donkey walks with our miniature donkeys and games."

Wrapping up the segment, Josie said: "It's just such a beautiful country, I am a big fan of the Brecon Beacons I come down here a lot because it's very, very good for the soul. It's actually changed its name hasn't it?"

"It has very recently, it's now Bannau Brycheiniog National Park," Julia responded as Josie made a decent attempt to pronounce it before awkwardly telling Julia: "I'll work on it."

Speaking to those hoping to take a trip to that part of the world, Julia said: "You can't beat it, friendly people, it's just a beautiful area and we find a lot of people come here to de-stress and we've had quite a lot of people post-Covid just coming to be with the animals."

Further praising Wales, Josie said: "I've been here, I've walked the pigs and the scenery is just out of this world. It is a beautiful, beautiful place to come, it's so good for your soul."
