This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary were stunned when Spin To Win became a catastrophic triple rollover after multiple callers failed to correctly take part.
Viewers are tasked with saying just one phrase when This Morning bosses call them which allows them to win huge cash prizes.
Opening the segment, Dermot and Holly were overjoyed as she explained: "There are loads of cash prizes up for grabs and you get to choose whether you would like to spin the wheel or my balls!"
"Quick reminder of the rules for you and me," added Dermot before saying: "If your phone rings, you need to remember to only say today's passphrase - nothing else."
Holly went on to explain: "If you get it right, you get the chance to play shall we do this... Let's do this."
The pair went on to start the game and attempted to call one viewer as Holly said: "Come on, is that your phone, don't be shy, pick it up!"
However, Irene failed to correctly say the passphrase leaving the presenters disappointed as they apologised.
"I know, I didn't quite understand, there was like a delay, if they were watching the TV, why didn't they say the password?" asked Holly.
After several failed attempts, Holly and Dermot appeared optimistic as the phone continued to ring with the hopes of some viewers getting their hands on a serious amount of cash.
"Oh no, goodbye Gillian!" exclaimed Holly as somebody answered saying "hello".
Sadly, several either failed to answer their phones while some said "hello", meaning they were instantly disqualified from the lucrative competition.
Viewers have since taken to social media following the awkward blunder, with one writing: "If you enter #SpinToWin you should just put the phrase as your answer phone message #ThisMorning."
"Ring meeeee, I would answer #ThisMorning," commented a second.
While a third fumed: "How hard is it to follow one rule!! #ThisMorning."
Another tweeted: "If you enter #SpinToWin you should just put the phrase as your answer phone message #ThisMorning."
Shortly after the awkward segment, Holly said: "No luck getting through today, so what we're going to do is spin it to you and this is going to be added to tomorrow's total."
The sum of £1000 was added, as Holly explained: "That's good, that'll make the jackpot £4,000," before she went on to say that the game will be back in two weeks' time.
"There's quite a lot of admin that we should really be talking about off camera," quipped Dermot as Holly giggled over the drama.
