This Morning's Dermot O'Leary accuses Ant and Dec of causing chaos in studio as they invade show

Dermot O'Leary shared the chaotic aftermath of Ant and Dec's This Morning invasion, accusing them of causing chaos in the studio.

After Saturday Night Takeaway was cancelled by ITV last week in favour of Six Nations rugby, the lads wanted to remind everyone, including Dermot and co-host Alison Hammond, that normal service will be resumed this weekend and Takeaway will be back on our screens for a brand new episode.

Alison jumped out of her skin as Ant and Dec burst through a side door, with Dec crashing a cymbal as Ant let off a confetti canon. Alison grabbed hold of Dermot as Ant and Dec told them they were then to let everyone know that Saturday Night Takeway was on this weekend.

They had even more news for viewers watching at home when they revealed that Michael Buble would be joining them in the studio, with Line of Duty star Anna Maxwell-Martin, following in the footsteps of the likes of RuPaul and Paloma Faith by being this week's Star Guest Announcer.

Ant and Dec were only on screen a matter of moments, but they left chaos in their wake as they exited the studio to go back to their Takeaway preparations. After This Morning returned from an ad break, Alison reflected at her shock at their appearance, telling Dermot: "That really frightened me! I jumped to you to look after me."

This Morning staff had to quickly clean up after Ant and Dec (ITV)

Dermot then remarked "Alison's rightly pointed out that that's what happens when Ant and Dec come into the studio and this is what happens when they leave..." The camera then cut to staff swiftly trying to sweep up the debris left by the Geordie hosts.

Dermot added: "Come into the party, make all the mess and then the poor team have to clear it up. God bless you guys."
