Alison Hammond couldn't believe what she was hearing as a This Morning guest 'rejected' her idea for how to decorate a Christmas tree, in a clash over decorations on the show.
As she does at the end of very week, ex Big Brother contestant Alison took the reins on the ITV daytime programme, along her presenting partner in crime, former X Factor host Dermot O'Leary. There was a lot for the duo to get stuck into during the course of the two and a half hour live broadcast, including an interview with Cat Deeley and Edith Bowman, a rundown of the latest goings on in the I'm A Celebrity jungle and a phone-in about badly behaved pets.
And Christmas was most definitely in the air in the studio as Alison and Dermot teased a segment on Christmas trees. As a burst of festive favourite Deck The Halls played around them, the presenters were joined by regular This Morning contributor Georgina Burnett, to talk through some of the best trees on the market this year and how to decorate them.

Interiors expert and stylist Georgina told Alison and Dermot that candy cane decorations were 'really on trend this season,' before adding: "Please have a colour theme when you do your tree! Don't just throw everything on."
Slightly crestfallen by what Georgina had to say, Alison replied: "Oh no, you'll hate my tree then. I literally just use everything, because it's got memories as well" as Georgina shot back: "Maybe put them in another room."
And then came the big bone of contention arrived - tinsel Georgina was showcasing a rather unusual navy tree and the ornaments on it, when Alison asked: "Would you put some tinsel o that? Maybe some silver?" Shutting her suggestion down straight away in rather brutal fashion, Georgina replied: "I can't stand tinsel!"
A taken aback Alison reacted: "Oh no! Are you not a tinsel person? Oh dear. I was going to ask you to come round and decorate for me, but if you don't have any tinsel."
