Liverpool-born Jodie Comer could be in the running to play Coleen Rooney in Wagatha Christie TV drama.
Last week, Coleen Rooney had won her High Court libel battle in the "Wagatha Christie" case. Rebekah Vardy, 40, who is married to Leicester City striker Jamie, was suing Mrs Rooney, the wife of England star Wayne, for libel.
In a viral social media post in October 2019, Mrs Rooney , 36, said she had carried out a "sting operation" and accused Mrs Vardy of leaking "false stories" about her private life to the press. The trial hit the headlines after Mrs Rooney publicly claimed Mrs Vardy's account was the source behind three fake stories she had posted on her private Instagram account.

The ECHO previously reported that the high profile libel case has been commissioned to become a drama documentary on Channel 4. Appearing on This Morning on Monday, Rochelle Humes was discussing headlines that said a new TV drama into the trial could feature Jodie Comer as Coleen. The Liverpool-born actor is best known as the star of Killing Eve.
Rochelle said: "Apparently Jodie Comer, who we love, is allegedly front runner to play Coleen. Do you think that's something that she'd sign up for?"
Sonya, a guest who was on to talk about the latest headlines, said: "I'm sure if they were doing a big budget drama, maybe for ITV, she would consider it. She is such an amazing actor, I love her.
"She has been brilliant in so many different things. She has such range from Killing Eve to massively emotional drama about the pandemic."
"I just think the trial itself was so dramatic. There were so many things that you almost wouldn't need to do anything to. The script would just write itself."
