This Morning's resident chef has revealed all about how to create the perfect fluffy pancakes.
To mark Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day, on February 21, This Morning hosted a special cooking segment as chef Juliet was on hand to create a special version of the pancakes, which has gone viral on social media and called pancake spaghetti.
She started by mixing 125g of plain four, a pinch of salt, one teaspoon of baking powder and two teaspoons of caster sugar with one egg, 30g of melted butter, 150ml of milk and one teaspoon of vanilla essence.
From there, she put the mixture into a icing bag to create her pancake spaghetti, but not before sharing a handy tip.
Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she said: "I quite like to leave mine to stand for an hour before I cook it. You can also make it the day before. I even used mine after three days and it works. It's quite handy if you've got the kids coming home from school and you don't want to do all that because they're desperate to get cooking.
It comes after Oliver Marlowe, chef director and owner of The Ganymede in London, shared his top tips with The Mirror on how to create the fluffiest pancakes and suggested people let the batter rest overnight in the fridge.
"Resting your batter is the most important step as it lets the gluten rest. What happens overnight is that all thatluten you've mixed together relaxes down and increases in size and aerates," the chef explains.
This in turn allows for any lumps to naturally smooth out and will save people from over mixing your batter and making the pancakes too tough. It will also help give them rise when they start cooking and explains why the first pancake usually turns out poor.
Currys have also shared a pancake tutorial video, which went viral on TikTok, and shows how people can make pancakes in the air fryer. Many have tried the hack themselves with great success and have been taking to social media to share their success.
In the popular video, they show a pancake fan laying down various sheets of baking paper on the bottom of the air fryer basket, before pouring a small amount of pancake mix on top. The foodie then proceeds to add another layer of paper and repeats the process over and over, until the air fryer is full and cooking begins.
The end result shows a perfectly plump, American-style pancake stack with a perfect golden colour before toppings are added.
