Researchers were more than just surprised to discover such stark visibility at the Blue Lake, which is now pegged as the lake with the world's clearest water lake. Back in 2011, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) conducted a study, and found that the lake water here has extreme visual clarity.
