If you’re like me and already have an entire cabinet dedicated to small kitchen appliances, then you’re probably reluctant to add yet another to your collection. Hear me out, though, because if you think the blender you already have is working “just fine” and you don’t need an upgrade, listen up.
Ninja’s innovative Detect model with BlendSense™ might change your mind — it did for me in about 30 seconds. After testing it for two weeks, I can confidently say that no other blender compares, especially at such an affordable price. Right now, you can score a 14% discount when you apply our exclusive code BMSM20 at checkout to bring the overall price down to just $120.
Full disclosure: I already have three blenders, including an older Ninja model, that I use regularly, so I didn’t think I needed another one. But spoiler alert, the Ninja Detect™ Power Blender Pro arrived on my doorstep and blew all of my other blenders out of the water almost immediately.
Before receiving the blender, courtesy of the brand, I had no idea what BlendSense™ technology was. Now, I don’t think I can live without it since it makes blending ingredients for smoothies, milkshakes, margaritas, sauces, and anything else a quick and easy task.

This all-in-one machine is so high-tech that it can replace several kitchen appliances, not just your old ordinary blender. It doubles as a food processor for prepping ingredients like onions, peppers, and garlic, or even making fresh homemade salsa.
Easy setup
The kit comes with everything you need for large batches or smaller portions, making it great for hosting small gatherings or treating yourself to an evening dessert. You’ll receive the BlendSense™ motor base, 72-oz pitcher with lid and pour spout, Total Crushing® and Chopping blade assembly, and an inspiration guide with 10 recipe ideas. All the pieces are BPA-free, refrigerator-safe, and feel super durable compared to my older blenders.
I’ll admit I am relatively lazy when setting up new appliances, so the fact that this blender took under five minutes to get up and running is a miracle in my eyes. Everything pretty much snaps into place and Violà! There are no additional tools or lengthy instructions involved, but I do suggest skimming through the manual as it contains helpful tips and walks you through the various modes.
To make yourself a perfectly blended concoction, all you have to do is attach the 72-oz pitcher to the base, insert the blade, add your desired ingredients, lock on the lid, and press start.
What I loved
Unlike any other model I’ve ever used, this blender automatically adjusts its settings to the appropriate time and speed needed to process ingredients to a smooth consistency in mere seconds. It completely takes the guesswork out of blending things together and makes the process more convenient than ever. Out of all the times I’ve used the blender, I haven’t had to stop to mix or add liquid once because it does the work for me.

Ingredient detection
This handy machine can detect whether I’m using fresh or frozen ingredients and senses the overall portion size to ensure the settings are correct. As it’s working its magic, the large center dial with an LED display keeps you informed the whole way by showing which mode it’s in as it changes settings. I like that there’s always a countdown timer that tells me approximately how much time is left before it’s done.
There’s also a manual mode that’s nice for experimental recipes since you might want to add more ingredients as you go. When using the pitcher, you can choose from up to 10 speeds and preset programs like large chop, small chop, and mince.
Easy clean up
Although all parts and accessories are top-rack dishwasher-safe (besides the base), I use manual mode to clean everything in one swift spin. I simply add dish soap and warm water to the pitcher with the blade still inside, pop on the lid, and let it blend for a minute or two before rinsing.
Final thoughts
The sound of BlendSense™ Technology might seem overwhelming at first, but I assure you this is the most user-friendly small kitchen appliance that I own, and it requires minimal effort. The fact that this blender is available for only $120 with code BMSM20 seems like a steal for how powerful and convenient it is.
