I'm a big Sanario nerd. Even as I type these very words, I'm wearing my official Kuromi house shoes, a pair of Sanrio pyjamas, and my PC desk is cluttered with toys and accessories featuring Hello Kitty and friends, but I somehow missed out on grabbing Hello Kitty Island Adventure for my Nintendo Switch.

This version of the game is down to its lowest ever price thanks to the influx of early November discounts, and better yet, this 'Gift Box' copy comes packed with adorable extras, including a double-sided poster, collectible cards - the ultimate Sanrio fan treat.
Should you buy Hello Kitty Island Adventure Gift Box for the Nintendo Switch?
If you're on the hunt for some cute Hello Kitty gift ideas to buy ahead of the holidays, the Hello Kitty Island Adventure Gift Box for the Nintendo Switch is a great idea - and I'm saying this as someone who's a big Sanrio fan who's desperate for their own copy too.
This gift box not only comes with a game that takes after Animal Crossing and lets you meet a huge range of iconic Sanrio characters and roam around an adorable world where you can bake, fish, and renovate adorable little cabins, but there are physical goodies in the box too. Sanrio fans (like myself) are pretty known for loving to collect cute toys and extras, so any die-hard Hello Kitty or Kuromi fan in your life will get a kick out of the collectible cards and double-sided poster packed in the box. Sadly, there are no plushies or toys included, but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend that foil collectible card isn't calling my name.
Before you add it to your Amazon cart, however, do make sure anyone you're gifting it to doesn't own a copy of the game already. It's been out since January 30, 2025, for the Ninty handheld, so there's a small chance it might already be part of their Swift game library. Additionally, make sure they own either a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, as this $49.99 discounted price is specifically for the Switch version.
The game (included in the gift box) is compatible with both handhelds, so don't worry on that front. There is a Switch 2 edition upgrade pack for the game, which comes with an enhanced resolution, smoother frame rates, and even mouse support via the new Switch 2 Joy-Con, but that can be bought separately for $9.99 via the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop at any time.
