The comments have brought up new questions about Kirk's past, how she became famous, and the story she has told about her early life.
Owens framed her argument as an attempt to clear up inconsistencies in Kirk's story, saying that the order in which she entered the pageant points to a more planned path. Kirk, a former Miss Arizona USA winner and the widow of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, has not responded publicly. Her supporters note that she has recently focused on leading Turning Point USA and raising her children following her husband’s death in 2025.
