This Dirt Bike Champion Is Launching a Fishing Apparel Brand

Fishing has always been a part of my outdoor life, as I first picked up a pole when I was two, and never really stopped. Indeed, even to this day, whenever I get the chance, I'll either go out by myself to fish for trout, or take my kids to the lake and find them their first successes, too. A day on the water or the banks is far better than a day behind the screen.

And that same mentality goes for Malcolm Stewart, OG Supercross champion, and all-around badass who dominated back in the day. Fishing is such an important thing to him, however, he's now come up with his own fishing apparel brand. And he's working alongside the FXR folks to bring his Rivell Fishing creation to life.

"Fishing has been part of my life since day one," stated Stewart, adding, "It’s always been something I’ve
gone back to away from racing. Rivell Fishing represents who I am off the track and the lifestyle
I truly live."

Rivell Fishing's apparel lineup will include t-shirts, hoodies, headwear, and lightweight UV-protective performance shirts and hoodies, r.e., the stuff anglers use every single time they're out on the water. And looking through the fishing products specifically, as there are a number of items that are more for the motocrosser, they're well-thoughtout, and seem to truly be devised by someone who fishes a lot. Nothing, from my eyes, looks half-assed, or as a way to just promote a brand. It looks like gear we'd use, which I can't say for Simms at the moment...

The fishing stuff ain't that expensive, either, as the two UV shirts will set you back $100 for the hooded version, and $90 for the non-hooded. But as someone who has allowed the sun to burn himself before because I wore the wrong shirt, you want something like these Rivell shirts.

As for the rest of the gear, because Stewart will be racing under the FXR and Rivell brands this year, you also get two hoodies, a couple t-shirts, a hat, and a replica of Stewart's jersey and pants. And more products are coming later this year, though the brands are remaining mum about what those exactly are.

"We’re excited to support Malcolm with the launch of Rivell Fishing," said Milt Reimer, President of FXR Racing, "Rivell is Malcolm’s vision, and our role is to support the brand from a distribution and execution standpoint."

A bunch of the products are already available online through FXR Racing, and I'm gonna need to get Stewart to invite me over so he can teach me how to jump a dirt bike like a pro, followed by some bass fishing and cooking.
