This Beautiful Overhead View of Lonnie Walker’s Vicious Dunk on the Sixers is Art

The Nets were blown out by the 76ers at home on Sunday, losing 121–99. However, Brooklyn had one standout moment during the game. Whether captured in a photo (maybe for a poster) or recorded on video, a first-quarter basket by Lonnie Walker was a beautiful sight.

Brooklyn’s Trendon Watford blocked a shot by Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid and the ball was passed to Walker who dribbled down the left side of the court. He then turned toward the middle and accelerated to the lane before racing through all five Sixers defenders for a ferocious dunk.

The Nets’ social media team posted several videos of Walker’s highlight over three Philadelphia players, including a clip from the broadcast and a slow-motion look at the play.

However, an overhead shot of the play turned Walker’s already spectacular leap to the rim look like a work of art. Take a look:

The Nets guard soared through the air, slicing between De’Anthony Melton and Robert Covington with a powerful step. Patrick BeverleyDanuel House Jr., and Embiid trailed just steps behind as Walker slammed the ball through the rim.

Walker led the Nets with 26 points in a losing effort, but these two points were particularly impressive – especially filmed from an overhead angle in slow-motion. This might be a play that NBA fans and Walker himself watch countless times because it just looks so cool.
