A third man has been charged over an alleged plot to murder a Sydney underworld figure.
NSW Police say they thwarted a $400,000 plan to kill a 30-year-old with links to organised crime in December.
Two men were charged with conspiracy to murder in January, after investigators alleged they took out a contract to kill the intended victim.
Detectives said the men, aged 18 and 30, had been conducting surveillance while "waiting for the right opportunity to murder the victim".
Two Glock pistols allegedly to be used in the killing were seized during raids at the time.
On Friday, the strike force investigating the conspiracy arrested an 18-year-old man in Gorokan on the Central Coast.
Detectives raided a home nearby and seized items relevant to the investigation.
The 18-year-old has been charged with conspiracy to murder and participating in a criminal group.
He was refused bail and appeared in Newcastle Local Court on Saturday.
