A third child has died in Scotland with the Strep A infection, the latest figures have revealed.
Public Health Scotland has reported 17 deaths among invasive group A streptococcal infections (iGAS) cases between October 3 and January 15. That's an increase of four deaths since last week's total.
Three of these deaths were in children under 10 years of age, an increase of one since last week's report.
