Good Friday is here and there are many events happening today, ideal for families and friend groups.
Here is a list of things to do in Dublin today, depending on whether you have kids or not.
Family-friendly events
See the animals at Dublin Zoo
Dublin Zoo is working until 6pm today and will also be working during the rest of the school holidays. They are running a series of workshops during the break that are perfect for children and teens.

Let your kids go wild at KidsZone Tallaght
KidsZone Tallaght is an indoor play centre where kids can go wild. They have a series of Kids Showtime events with a Willy Wonka theme, including appearances from the Easter Bunny and Pixie the Clown. There’s 30 minutes of play time included. Tickets are €20 per child as parents can go for free. It's open until 6pm.
Go on an Easter Trail at Malahide Castle
The Fairy Trail at Malahide Castle and Gardens has been transformed this Easter. Families can take a self-guided tour and worksheets will be given to children to find all the missing pieces of their jigsaw puzzle and crack the code. Child tickets start at €6 and adults are €8.50, while a family ticket is €28 and babies are free.
Have fun at the Airfield Estate Easter Activities
Dublin’s only working Urban Farm is hosting a series of family events, including a scavenger hunt, Easter activities, story time and guided nature walks. Families can meet their new lambs on the farm and watch the donkey grooming, before stopping by their coffee shop some hot chocolate. They are working until 5pm but the events will last until April 16. Tickets can be pre-booked or paid on arrival.
Spend the afternoon at the Easter Emporium
Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is celebrating Easter with the return of their Easter Emporium. Hosted in partnership with Butlers Chocolates, the free event is running until tomorrow. Using art materials from Liffey Valley reuse partners ReCreate, as well as some seasonal crafts, children will learn how to reuse, redesign and repurpose everyday items as they create themed decorations. They will also take home a free Butlers Chocolates Easter Egg.

Learn how to make your own bath bomb at Lush
Lush is hosting a number of special workshops where you can learn to make your very own bath bomb. The Easter workshops are taking place in Lush Dundrum, Lush Grafton Street and Lush Henry Street. Go to a last-moment theatre performance
Moliere's Tartuffe is on tonight at the Abbey Theatre at 7:30pm. Tickets range between €13 and €45. Meanwhile, Gaiety Theatre has The Hangman at 7:30pm. Tickets start from €19. If you've been meaning to watch it, don't hesitate because it's on only until tomorrow.
Dance the night away at the Church of Rihanna
The Well on St Stephen's Green is dedicating the whole night to Riri playing her full back catalogue from ‘Music of the Sun’ to ‘ANTI’. Fans of the singer can expect a non-stop Rihanna playlist from all the CHURCH DJs, Riri drag performances from the best CHURCH Kweens, Rihanna visuals all over the club and Riri spot prizes on the night. Tickets are limited and will be €8. The event starts at 11pm.
Laugh until you cry at The International Comedy Club
Hosted by Simon O'Keeffe in Ireland's original and best comedy venue, Friday nights at the International are the are the go to Friday night comedy show in Dublin. Ireland's most famous comedians all started in this venue and the lineups feature only the top talent on the Irish comedy circuit plus the best in visiting acts. The event starts at 8pm and tickets are €17.
Listen to some good live music at Whelan's
No Caps are playing Whelan's Midnight Hour tonight. Tickets are free if you reserve a spot in advance. No Caps are an alternative band from Dublin known for their unique and innovative sound that blends elements of rock, pop, and electronic music. The band was formed in 2019 in a small bedroom studio where the members spent countless hours experimenting with different styles and sounds.
