Thierry Henry left red-faced after fan request for Divock Origi

A young football fan has shared the hilarious moment he snubbed Thierry Henry in order to secure a photograph with Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

Currently away on international duty, Origi was an unused substitute in their 2-2 draw against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday.

Henry, who made over 370 appearances for Arsenal and earned over 120 caps for France, is now an assistant coach for the Belgium national team.

In a video shared on TikTok, the former striker noticed a young supporter waiting and appeared to stop to take a photograph. However, the fan had other ideas as he instead went straight for the Liverpool man.

Origi has seen his game time at Anfield limited this season as he's been reduced to just 14 appearances in all competitions for the Reds. He's scored five goals in that time.

The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer as his contract is set to expire.

The striker has 31 caps for his national team following his senior debut in 2014 and he has three goals to his name.

Belgium face Burkina Faso in a friendly on Tuesday evening in Anderlecht and Origi will hope to secure some extra minutes before returning to Merseyside later in the week.
