Arsenal are being linked with a £29million move for Wolves star Pedro Neto after club legend Thierry Henry eulogised over the 22-year-old last season.
The Gunners have been one of the busiest Premier League sides in the summer transfer window, with plenty of incoming and outgoing transfers taking place at the Emirates Stadium. Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos have all made the move to north London, with Arsenal having secured permanent exits for the likes of Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira as well.
Mikel Arteta openly admitted the club are trying to complete more deals before the transfer deadline, with technical director Edu Gaspar working hard behind the scenes. The Gunners are thought to be targeting deals for a new winger and central midfielder, with Pedro Neto and Sandro Tonali both emerging as potential targets this month.

In March 2021, Henry appeared on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football coverage for Wolves 1-0 defeat to Liverpool, with the Arsenal icon heaping praise on Neto for his confidence on the ball and crossing and finishing abilities. Henry said: "I like him a lot. Especially the situation that he found himself in with [Raul] Jimenez being injured and Diogo Jota now playing for the other side tonight.
"It's not easy to have everything on your shoulders. What I like is he's not scared to beat people on the outside. I like it. He can cross with his right, finish with his left.
"He's always looking to have a go and attack the defender - always on the front foot. It's not easy to do this at such a young age, in a team where you're not often in possession and dominating games. I think he's performed extremely well."
Bruno Lage's side have signed Neto's compatriot Goncalo Guedes from Valencia in a £27.5million deal, a move that offers direct competition for the 22-year-old. Guedes' arrival at Molineux could see the Gunners look to secure a deal for Neto with Wolves now having a ready-made replacement should the talented forward leave the club this summer.
Arsenal are said to have held a long-term interest in Neto and reports in recent weeks suggest the north Londoners are looking to a sign a 'mystery winger' before the transfer deadline. The Portuguese forward missed the majority of the 2021/22 season as he recovered from a knee injury suffered in April 2021, but looked back to his best in the 2-1 defeat against Leeds on the opening day of the 2022/23 campaign.
Other names linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium that fit the 'mystery winger' profile include Moussa Diaby, Leroy Sane and Yeremy Pino. The futures of both Reiss Nelson and Nicolas Pepe remain in doubt as the transfer window deadline edges closer, and a move for Neto could hinge upon if both players secure exits from Arsenal this summer.
