Thiago Silva has already told Thomas Tuchel why Marina Granovskaia must finally secure Chelsea's long-term transfer target before the end of the January transfer window.
The Blues have not yet been able to significantly bolster their squad this month despite having struggled to contend with injuries to key players, such as Ben Chilwell, amid a congested fixture list.
Tuchel has suffered the absence of the England international arguably more than any other player and is keen to add a left-sided defender to his current options after the England international suffered a season-ending injury.
Chilwell's absence invited Marcos Alonso up to the plate, and he hasn't had his place taken for a crunch game against Tottenham with Malang Sarr. The Spaniard has faced growing criticism recently, with fans demanding that the board answer Tuchel's wishes.
Better late than never, the west Londoners look to have finally solved Tuchel's left wing-back puzzle with just a few days of the winter window remaining - and Silva has already endorsed the potential move.
Chelsea have added Juventus left-back and former target Alex Sandro to their shortlist, according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Brazil international has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge on many occasions and has even been subject to a €40 million (£33m) bid from Chelsea in the past.
TuttoMercatoWeb report that talks between the European champions and Juventus are set to get underway in what feels like the last dance.
Sandro would not only provide Chelsea with a better option to Alonso on the left, but the Brazilian would also offer healthy competition for Chilwell upon his return.
With the FIFA Club World Cup just around the corner, Tuchel and the board must listen to why Silva thinks Sandro could accelerate the Blues' chances of lifting silverware this season.
The 37-year-old veteran centre-half has spoken about how he hopes to add another trophy to his ever-growing cabinet, explaining what the FIFA Club World Cup means to Brazilians and why it can help Chelsea secure their first-ever world title.
"I thoroughly believe in these players and this coaching staff. We all have big ambitions, and we all think about winning. We never play to lose. In fact, nobody plays to lose," Silva said, speaking to ESPN Brazil.
"Nobody likes to lose, but we have to understand that this is the Club World Cup. I am Brazilian myself, and I will always motivate our players for these games that separate us from winning another title.
"I hope the team can be more successful than the last time they faced Corinthians. Let's hope this time is different."
