Liverpool are being tipped to claim a win over Brighton in the Premier League today by pundits - but one believes the Reds could taste defeat.
The Reds take on the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium in today’s early kick-off (12.30pm) as they look to get another vital three points.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are six points adrift of leaders Manchester City in the league table, but do have a game in hand.
Liverpool’s last league match saw them claim a narrow win over West Ham, while their most recent outing was a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League in midweek.
Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes that Liverpool will beat Brighton this afternoon, and has tipped a 3-1 scoreline in the Reds’ favour.

“Brighton’s form really has dipped over the last month or so. They just aren’t scoring enough goals right now, after all only Burnley and Norwich have less all season,” Owen told BetVictor.
“There’s no danger of this side going down, but Graham Potter will want to target finishing in the top 10.
“Liverpool’s last couple of games haven’t seen them quite at their best.
“They got the win over West Ham but did concede a few chances in that game and on another day, could have drawn.
“The defeat to Inter on Tuesday was frustrating, mainly because they had more than enough chances to win that game.
“Liverpool are due a game in which they score a few goals, they are creating plenty of chances. I think that will come here. 3-1 Liverpool.”
Another former Liverpool player, Mark Lawrenson, has also tipped the Reds to claim a win over Brighton this afternoon.
Lawrenson explained why he thinks that Liverpool will have too much for Graham Potter’s Brighton side, and has predicted a 2-0 away victory.
“Brighton drew 2-2 at Anfield at the end of October and could easily have won it,” Lawrenson told the BBC .
“I remember previewing the game for a Brighton newspaper and saying I can't believe they would go there and go on the attack but that's essentially what they did.
“I don't think the Seagulls pose the same threat now, though. They have lost four in a row, and only scored one goal in that run of defeats.
“Graham Potter's side have never scored that many goals but they have begun conceding more too.
“Yes, they can keep the ball pretty well but I don't see them holding out for 90 minutes against Liverpool, not with the way Jurgen Klopp's side are playing at the moment.”
However, former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has tipped Liverpool to lose 2-1 to Brighton today.
Berbatov reckons that Liverpool have been “lucky” not to concede more goals in their recent matches, and has predicted a “surprise” win for Brighton.
“I like the way Brighton play and recently Liverpool have conceded a lot of chances,” Berbatov told Metro .
“They have been lucky because teams have lacked that quality to finish off the chances that they have given away.
“I can see Brighton doing well in this one and I am going to go for a surprise.”
