Simon Jordan believes Liverpool would be mad to let Sadio Mane leave this summer after the Senegalese forward was linked with a move away from Anfield.
Mane, who is about to complete his seventh season with the Reds, has been one of Jurgen Klopp's most consistent performers, scoring 118 goals and playing an instrumental role in helping the club to win the both the Champions League and Premier League in back-to-back seasons.
The 30-year-old is under contract until June 2023 and it is understood that talks have been held about extending that deal, but reports on Monday suggested that Bayern Munich have enquired about bringing the versatile attacker to Germany. However, TalkSPORT presenter Jordan has branded the idea of letting Mane leave Merseyside as silly.

Speaking on the White and Jordan show, he said: "If it isn’t broke then don’t fix it. Mane is an outstanding player and you don’t let him go anywhere. Why would Mane want to play for Munich over Liverpool? I’m sure there will be a group of German fans saying ‘because we are going to win the league and we’re this that or the other’.
“It’s about the economics of what he’s being paid then they’ll have to match those expectations, or they’ll have to replace him. He will be very difficult to replace. You are going to replace what you bought him for from Southampton all those years ago, because he’s a really, really good player. They (Senegal) just won the Africa Cup of Nations and Liverpool are on the cusp of doing something very significant. I don’t think it will be the quadruple, but there’s a distinct possibility they will do the treble. They don’t need to break this up.”
According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has held talks with Mane’s agent over a possible move this summer. It has been claimed that Bayern are keen to make a “statement signing” before next season.
It is understood that so far there has been no direct contact between the two clubs, but the report indicates that Mane's contract talks with Liverpool have been 'difficult'.
