Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has warned Tottenham fans to 'pray' that Harry Kane wants to remain a one-club man after Spurs' dismal exit from the Champions League.
The London outfit exited Europe's elite competition with a disappointing 1-0 aggregate defeat to AC Milan. Antonio Conte's side lost 1-0 in the first leg at the San Siro and were unable to get a goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the reverse leg on Wednesday night.
Spurs managed just two shots on target against the Serie A side in the second leg, with the defeat coming after their 1-0 FA Cup exit to Championship side Sheffield United. It means that Conte's men will go another season without any silverware - with Kane still chasing his first-ever trophy.

The England captain cut a frustrated figure at full-time, and with around 15 months to run on his existing deal at the club, speculation around his future intensified. MEN Sport understands that United are long-time admirers of the 29-year-old, with Erik ten Hag prioritising a new goalscorer in the summer.
Ferdinand believes Spurs supporters should 'hope and pray' that Kane's love for Tottenham will make him want to remain with the London club.
"These Spurs fans they want to hope and pray that Harry Kane wants to be a one-club man," Ferdinand said on BT Sport. "Regardless of what happens at this club silverware-wise, they want to hope and pray that he’s that guy that wants to be here to be 'Mr Spurs' for the rest of his career because on the face of that…saying that he’s going to finish his career alongside and playing with for that type of performance….I just don’t understand it."
Later on in the programme, Ferdinand urged Kane to join a club where he can win trophies - claiming that the England ace should be targeting quick silverware.
The United legend added: "If I was him I’d be looking at pastures new to get some silverware. "It’s not long ago playing the Champions League final and finishing second in the league, but they’re a club that are moving further and further away from where he wants to be.
"He needs to go where he thinks he’ll get his hands on a trophy quickest."
Kane has registered 268 goals and 63 assists in 423 appearances for Spurs during his time with the club.
