These Jeeps Look Like Old-School Trapper Keepers

The Breakdown:

  • Jeep is launching a retro-inspired package for the 2026 Wrangler and Gladiator.
  • The package is called Rewind, and Jeep previewed it last year with a one-off concept.
  • The Rewind package is a limited-edition offer that’s part of Jeep’s 12-4-12 campaign.

What started as a one-off Jeep concept has become a limited-edition package for the 2026 Wrangler and Gladiator. It’s called Rewind, and it gives the two models retro-inspired graphics that make the pair look like colorful Trapper Keepers from the 1980s and 1990s.

The package includes vintage-designed graphics in teal, red, and orange. The colors pop against the purple paint, which Jeep calls Reign. The pack also adds gold wheels and tow hooks, off-road tires, body-color fender flares, steel rock rails, and an exclusive spare tire carrier.

Inside, the leather seats feature 8-bit-inspired embossing, colorful contrast stitching, and a dot-matrix-style gear selector knob. There are also exclusive cupholder plaques. One thing the production version lacks is the colorful seat insert from the concept

Standard features include the 7.0-inch driver display, heated front seats and steering wheel, LED headlights and fog lights, adaptive cruise control, a locking rear differential with Off-Road+ mode, and programmable auxiliary switches.

The Rewind package is $1,900 on top of a Willys trim. The four-door Wrangler Willys starts at $47,360 (all prices include the $1,995 destination charge), while the Gladiator costs $48,440.

Jeep will limit the Rewind to certain exterior body colors. They are: Bright White, Granite Crystal, Anvil, Gloss Black, Hydro Blue, Joose, Earl (Wrangler only), and Reign. The Wrangler and Gladiator Rewind models are the sixth to launch in Jeep’s 12-4-12 campaign, which introduces a new limited-edition model every month.

Motor1’s Take: Easter Jeep Safari serves as a testbed for the automaker, allowing the brand to get direct feedback from its most dedicated enthusiasts, and they loved the Rewind last year. It’s a great package that evokes memories of a distant past, and nostalgia sells.
