Though August is not yet through, our minds (and souls—hi fellow autumn lovers) are already honing in on all things fall fashion trends—especially now that TikTok has been flooded with recommendations on what to add to our cold-weather-ready, capsule wardrobes.
Of course, you can expect to see chunky, coastal grandma-esque knits make a comeback, along with 'Quiet Luxury' loafers and suit pants, but we've also spotted a number of statement pieces gaining traction.
So, if you're looking to build a new autumnal closet, here are all the staples we've seen time and time again on nearly everyone's TikTok wishlist so far...

Shop the 2023 fall fashion trends we're seeing *everywhere*
So, what do the 2023 fashion trends have in store for us, you ask? Well from what we can tell (from our many, many hours spent scrolling fall-style compilations and inspo videos) so far, pops of color are set to be a big this chilly season, particularly red, with red dresses already making a big impression. We also predict a lot of lemon yellow, bright green and hot pink—it's all very Scandi-gal vibes.
Knits and long coats are also set to make a comeback, along with quilted and crossbody bags—like the Uniqlo crossbody bag—and of course, sweater vests.
The wrong shoe theory trend also looks set to continue its reign, along with ballet pumps (though be warned, they will not protect your feet from the elements). Now, much like 2022, there are two other pairs of shoes we've spied once again dominating the fall trends; the Birkenstock Boston's and Adidas Sambas.

Thankfully the viral clogs are easier to get your hands on this year, with the most in-demand colorway 'Taupe' currently in stock—plus there are some great Birkenstock clog dupes around too. Alas, Sambas are still a hot ticket item, so you might have to stay on the lookout for restocks or try and nab them second-hand.
Trouser-wise, we're seeing wide-leg jeans, with slightly faded, black denim proving to be the most popular, along with classic mid-blue jeans and loose, suit pants. We can also see the boxercore trend seemingly inspiring some pj-like trouser trends...
Midi skirts and dresses are also proving to be a fall essential on TikTok, especially when paired with clogs and black, leather loafers.
All in all, the fall trends are minimalist and intentional, with stylish layering and pops of statement colors, whether it's from your handbag or scarf, let's say, along with classic basics, like t-shirts, cable knit jumpers, trend coats and boots.
How to style the 2023 fall fashion trends
Layering is your best friend when it comes to fall/winter. We'd suggest investing in a thick white tee, a nice pair of loose grey or black pants, some classic blue jeans and a pair of sneakers or chic loafers.
Then add a neutral knit—or a colorful one—a black, cream, or camel jacket, a scarf (colorful, if you went neutral with your knit) and then a handbag. Accessorize with either silver or gold huggie hoops and voila, a stylish fall fit.
Fall has changeable weather, so you'll be glad of having layers to either take off or put on. You could also swap in a sweater vest or an oversized poplin shirt.
The beauty of autumnal pieces is also that they're interchangeable, all of the above items can be mixed and matched, and elevated with a pop of color of some statement accessories. We're especially obsessed with the quilted COS bag...
