There's a New Special Edition MV Agusta, And It Probably Costs a Metric Ton

There's just something to MV Agustas, and especially something about those special editions that the brand loves to do. Maybe it's allure that they're these bespoke Italian masterpieces? Maybe it's because they have all the power in the world under your right palm? Maybe it's just that they look freakin' epic. Whatever the case, I'm all about them, and it's clear that so many others are, too.

The latest in a long line of special MV Agustas just dropped at the International Concourse de Elegance (I.C.E., which isn't the best acronym at the moment) in St. Moritz, where the brand unveiled the Rush Titanio, a hyper naked superbike that looks about as aggressive as you can make a naked to look. It is, in short, stunning, and proves that MV Agusta still has exactly the right recipe for what its fans are looking for.

That said, the Rush Titanio, if it follows MV tradition, will likely cost you ten arms, that guy's leg, and possibly the kidneys of your greatest enemies. But, honestly, it might just be worth their sacrifice for those wheels alone. Plus, your enemies suck.

The Rush Titanio is centered around MV Agusta's 298 horsepower, 998cc four-cylinder Rush motorcycle, and if you haven't guessed by the name, features a metric ton of titanium. There's radial titanium valves, forged titanium connecting rods, a titanium Arrow exhaust, brushed titanium components on its exterior, the fuel tank cover, dashboard and headlight cradles, bolts and screws, and the list goes on and on.

In fact, the press release uses the word titanium a total of 18 times, and that's not including the brand's Titanio nomenclature. Similarly, what isn't titanium has been worked over in carbon fiber, meaning this thing is light AF.

As for the rest of the specs on the special edition motorcycle, it looks to follow the same basic architecture of the regular Rush, though MV Agusta says its still finalizing everything. But from what we can see, it features Ohlins adjustable suspension, Brembo brakes, Pirelli tires, and the Rush's signature "lenticular" rear wheel. Honestly, I'd buy the bike just for that wheel, as it looks positively killer. Like something out of some Cyber Punk fever dream. I don't even care if it works or does anything, it's one of those design flourishes that you could theoretically hang on your wall as art.

According to MV Agusta, "In this extraordinary setting, the Rush Titanio makes its debut as the most radical and refined expression of MV Agusta’s hyper-naked philosophy... A motorcycle conceived without compromise, it embodies the brand’s relentless pursuit of performance, craftsmanship, and innovation, while standing as a true collector’s piece."

Pricing hasn't been released, but the standard MV Agusta will set you back a cool $50,000. This Rush Titanio, however, is set to only be produced in super limited numbers, i.e., MV Agusta says it'll only build 300. The company doesn't make a lot of regular Rushs, but this type of super-limited motorcycle is likely to command a significantly higher price tag when all is said and done.

But if I was the type of person who had unlimited money, or comfortable enough that I didn't care about dropping what's likely to be six figures on a motorcycle, I'd certainly be calling up Varese today.
