BHOPAL: The state capital is ready to celebrate Holi — the ‘normal way’ after two years. On Thursday itself, colour-smeared faces could be seen with school and college kids celebrating Holi with their friends. Resorts on the outskirts of the city have also come up with Holi themed parties this year — very much like the ones hosted during New Years.
“In 2020, Holi was celebrated just ahead of the lockdown. Covid had its impact on celebrations in 2021 too due to the devastating second Corona wave. This year, we will enjoy the festival of colours,” said J P Sharma, a resident of Aradhna Nagar. Ashish Chaube, a resident of Arera Colony, said, “Holi needs no preparations. You only need a small packet of colour. It’s a festival which brings joy and fun. This fun has been missing for the last couple of years. I will visit my friends and enjoy parties,” he said.
