A new trend, dubbed 'zebra striping', is being championed as a way to curb overindulgence during the Christmas party season, potentially leading to a much perkier morning after. The strategy involves consciously alternating between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at social gatherings.
Dr Richard Piper, CEO at Alcohol Change UK, explains: "Zebra striping is the new name for alternating between low alcohol or alcohol-free drinks and alcoholic drinks instead of drinking purely alcoholic drinks in a single occasion, such as night out with friends or a work Christmas party."
