The band started out on a ballad career during the ballad boom of the early 1960’s. They have 19 critically acclaimed albums to date. They will now present again some of their old classics not performed on the concert stage for many years.
Concert-goers will also hear some newly composed ballads taken from their forthcoming album which will be released in November this year. Since it’s “their firm belief that it is the work of the ballad maker to reflect the times they live in”, it would be interesting to hear they have to say, or sing, about the current period we live in.
Their achievements include receiving the Freedom of the cities of New York and Los Angeles, being presented with Philadelphia’s greatest honour – The Liberty Bell, and appearing in New York’s Carnegie Hall on numerous occasions. In March 2022, The Wolfe Tones sold out two nights on New York’s Broadway with highly acclaimed performances in the prestigious Town Hall Theatre.
