
Nov. 10: U.S. and China ease tariff measures
Beginning Nov. 10, the U.S. will adjust tariffs on Chinese goods, lowering fentanyl-related tariff rates, extending the suspension period for reciprocal tariffs and the validity of Section 301 tariff exemptions and pausing export controls and port fee policies for one year. For its part, China will suspend a 24% tariff on certain U.S. imports for one year, while keeping a 10% rate, and will cease levying additional tariffs on some products.
Nov. 10 – 13: Spanish king to visit China
King Felipe VI of Spain will make a state visit to China, his first since ascending the throne. He is scheduled to meet with President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang to discuss bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
Nov. 10 – 11: Norwegian foreign minister to visit China
Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide will visit China at the invitation of his counterpart Wang Yi. The visit follows the recent re-election of Norway’s government.
Nov. 10: Swedish travelers granted visa-free entry to China
China will implement a visa-free policy for Sweden from Nov. 10, 2025, to Dec. 31, 2026. The visa-free policy for other countries, including France, will also be extended to the end of 2026.

Nov. 10 - 11: Bitcoin laundering case reaches sentencing stage in U.K.
Sentencing is set for Nov. 10 – 11 in what U.K. police have described as the largest cryptocurrency seizure in history. Defendant Qian Zhimin will be sentenced on Nov. 10, followed by co-defendant Seng Hok Ling the next day.

The 16th Caixin Summit will take place in Beijing from Nov. 12 to 14 under the theme “Resilience and Patience.” The event is expected to gather business leaders and policymakers to assess global economic conditions.
Nov. 13 - 17: Thai king to visit China
King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand will make a state visit from Nov. 13 to 17 — the first visit of its kind by a Thai monarch since the countries established diplomatic relations. The king will hold talks with Xi and Li.
Nov. 13: Baidu to showcase new AI innovations
Baidu Inc. will host its Baidu World 2025 conference on Nov. 13 in Beijing, unveiling a slate of new AI applications and product upgrades under the theme “AI in Action.”
Nov. 16: Chile to hold presidential and congressional elections
Chile will hold general elections on Nov. 16. Center-left candidate Jeannette Jara will face off against right-wing contenders José Antonio Kast and Evelyn Matthei. A runoff will be held Dec. 14 if no candidate secures a majority.
