You know, if the Golden State Warriors can have themselves seven-point possessions on a regular basis, they’re going to be pretty tough to beat.
After all, just one can swing a game.
The Warriors have been lights out in the third quarters of these NBA Finals, and a 12-point halftime deficit was briefly erased after a wild sequence of events went Golden State’s way in the frame. With the Warriors down nine points, Stephen Curry hit a three with Al Horford coming in on the contest. Horford closed out underneath Curry. And though Curry had already earned the four-point play opportunity, a flagrant 1 for the closeout had the Warriors retaining possession.
STEPH CURRY AND ONE.

That was when Otto Porter ended the possession with a three of his own. Just like that, the Warriors had a 7-0 run in a single possession, cutting the deficit to two. The Warriors temporarily regained the lead in the third quarter before Boston responded to go back up by four points heading into the fourth.

Still, a seven-point possession wasn’t something that NBA fans see too often, and you better believe that they were impressed.
