The Wanted will be the star guests at Ladies Day in Newcastle, with news of their appearance coming weeks after they performed a moving gig at the Utilita Arena.
The boyband, who shot to fame 12 years ago with their debut number 1 All Time Low, will be the main attraction at the Ladies Day after party, when they take to the stage at Newcastle Racecourse, after the final horse has passed the post on Saturday, July 23.
Speaking about The Wanted’s reunion tour and upcoming Newcastle show for Ladies Day, band member Jay McGuiness says: “‘It was amazing to perform again for all our fans on our recent arena tour and we can’t wait to do it all over again this Summer. Newcastle has always been a real party vibe for us whenever we’ve played there so we are really looking forward to this one."

The Wanted's reunion tour proved to be an emotional one for both the group and their fans after Tom Parker was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020. Tom has fought hard ever since receiving the crushing news an, while he wasn't on stage for the Newcastle gig, with him in Spain receiving pioneering cancer treatment, his band mates stopped the hsow to pay tribute to him.
Applause and cheers sounded out around the Utilita Arena in his honour as fans showed their appreciation. Tom did make a number of the later shows on the tour, including a moving final concert in Liverpool last week.

Tickets will be available for presale on Wednesday, March 30 via Ticketmaster, and for general sale on Friday, April 1. A wide array of luxury hospitality packages are also available, for further details go to the Newcastle Racecourse website.
Tickets will starts at £25 and allow the holder to enjoy a full day of racing plus The Wanted gig afterwards.
The Wanted replace Olly Murs, who was announced for Ladies Day sometime ago, but has since cancelled all of his summer shows due to surgery.
