'The Walking Dead: Dead City' has finally tested its most divisive fan theory yet, placing Maggie and Negan in an alternate reality where Glenn was never killed and the pair meet without their shared trauma.

Yet despite the episode hinting at a possible connection between the former enemies, Lauren Cohan still calls the idea of a Maggie–Negan romance 'horrifying' and insists viewers are meant to feel relieved when it does not happen.
