Liverpool’s own drag queen and TV personality, The Vivienne, is the latest celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice.
The series returns to ITV and ITVX in 2023 with a new cast. Eleven celebrities prepare to “embark on the ultimate challenge” as they take to the ice each week, skating live in a bid to impress both the panel and viewers at home. The next series “promises more glitz, glamour and show-stopping performances” as the celebrities brave it all to “learn this dangerous discipline”.
The Vivienne is the sixth celebrity to be announced, joining the previously announced actress and DJ Patsy Palmer, football legend John Fashanu, Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson and Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher.

Revealing the news on Twitter, The Vivienne tweeted: “I'm beyond excited to announce that I will be competing in Dancing on Ice in 2023. This is honestly a dream come true and I can't wait to start training on the ice. To be the first drag artist to take part in one of the big UK reality competition shows is truly an honour. I think it's a big step forward for queer representation on TV.”
The last time the performer was on our screens was for a spin-off series of RuPaul's Drag Race, the show that threw her into the limelight. Before that, she appeared on the likes of Celebrity Hunted and BBC’s This is going to hurt. It appears as if fans are excited to see the former Superstar Boudoir DJ back on TV again.
Responding to the announcement on Twitter, @ProudMary1984 said: “This is epic!!!!!!!!!”
@CelticTribesman added: “When you lift up your partner and do a pirouette on that ice I will have officially gone to Drag heaven.”
@cherrysval penned: “So proud of you!! You're gonna smash it like always do at anything you put your mind to.”
