Liverpool’s The Vivienne has deactivated her Twitter account after being trolled.
The UK's first RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner was labelled “fat” and told to “go eat a salad” by so-called fans after she announced she would be appearing on the spin-off series, All Stars 7. What was supposed to be a celebratory day, with the 30-year-old Welsh native revealing she would competing for the All Stars crown, was clouded with hateful comments.
As a result, the former ‘gay town' host and DJ has deactivated her account and encouraged true fans who want to “share the love” to keep up to date with her on her other socials such as Instagram and TikTok.

Tweeting to her 116,000 followers in a thread, the renowned Cher impersonator said: “Honestly, being off Twitter for the past two weeks has been such a mind clearing thing, I was hardly looking at my phone as much, I wasn’t getting called fat, or s***, or whatever else. When I say this is the WORST place mental health I mean it. I was asked to come back to announce all the stars.
"I didn’t wanna do it but was asked to as this was where the announcement was happening, I did, and three hours later I’ve been called ‘fat’ and to ‘go and eat a salad’ and ‘get off my screen’. I didn’t want to deactivate this account. But I had to. I hope you all enjoy the season, what a sad way to end the day, however, I know it would happen, hence why I deactivated 2 weeks ago. Love you all very much xxx”
Not one to stay quiet, the drag queen responded to a handful of hateful comments by adding: “And you all wonder why I left twitter. Horrible, horrible pieces of skin. I’ll be deactivating again tomorrow.” The TV personality has continued to post elsewhere on her social media accounts but has been inactive on Twitter since earlier this month.
Fans will watch The Vivienne compete in the latest season of RuPaul's Drag Race when it airs on Friday, May 20. Dubbed 'the biggest season of the franchise yet', viewers will see the Scouse queen face off against the likes of Raja, Jinkx Monsoon and Shea Coulee in a bid to win a cash prize of £250,000. As the BBC doesn't allow cash prizes on their competition shows, The Vivienne had to settle for badges during her first season, but is now "so excited" to appear on the US version as she can't wait to get her hands on a cash prize.
She said: "I'm so excited to be back now I have the opportunity to win actual cold hard cash. I think I'm the winner of winners because I think I'm a good all-rounder. I've got a kind of Americanised aesthetic but also the British camp humour and I look fabulous while I'm doing it. So yeah, give me the crown of crowns."
