The Vikings are closing in on an NFL record

The Minnesota Vikings now sit at 7-1 on the season after a difficult 20-17 win over the Washington Commanders. The win marks the fourth come-from-behind win for the Vikings on their six-game winning streak.

Their winning streak isn’t your average one. In fact, they are one win away from tying an NFL record held by the 2020 Kansas City Chiefs.

It’s a pretty wild evolution from last season when the Vikings were 6-8 on the season. When fluky things happened to this team, they would often go into the fetal position.

In the first eight games of the Kevin O’Connell era, things have taken a drastic turn. The Vikings consistently have made things work despite bad breaks and unfortunate circumstances.

Winning one-score games is usually an unsustainable metric, but seeing drastic improvement with the same core pieces from last season is a great sign for the future of the franchise.
